Axion Invictus Series
Vanguard’s TAA-compliant Axion Invictus Series is a revolutionary new technology used to produce LED video displays. Traditional SMD positive anode and negative electrodes face up. However, the circuit design for Axion Invictus for both the Positive and Negative electrodes faces downward.
Therefore the “ChipFlip” process. The traditional MD structure requires soldering which increases the possibility of failure points. the ChipFlip structure does not require soldering and therefore has a much lower failure rate. Very fine SMD 1010 LED diodes and the substrate are electrically and mechanically interconnected by solder paste bonding to the PB board. The soldering paste is 100 times stronger than the traditional method of 3-in-1 encapsulation of LED bulbs. The LED diodes and substrate are then covered with an epoxy resin, creating an impact and moisture-resistant surface. The the failure rate is 5/PPM in year 1 as compared to 50-100/PPM for standard SMD.
Common Cathode technology, designed to reduce heat generation is standard on the Axion Invictus Series. The electric current passes through the Cathode, the negative pole, or the ground as opposed to the anode. Therefore, power is not being drawn continuously creating heat but power is drawn only as needed. As a result, heat production is greatly reduced. The contrast ratio and color gamut of “ChipFlip”, featuring true HDR technology is best in class.

”CHIPFLIP” is a revolutionary new technology of encapsulating very fine chips to PCB boards using epoxy resin.
The circuit design for “CHIPFLIP” for both the Positive and Negative electrodes face downward.
There is no soldering in the ” CHIPFLIP” Process”! The chip and substrate are electrically and mechanically interconnected by extremely strong solder paste bonding.
The “Chipflip Process” also employs Common Cathode technology whereby the electric current only passes through the Cathode, the negative pole or the ground. Power is drawn only as needed. As a result, heat generation is very low.
A TAA compliant product means it is in agreement with the Trade Agreement Act which allows it to be sold to any agency of the U.S. government. TAA-compliant displays meet government purchasing standards. Vanguard’s Axion TAA Series qualifies for government projects.
Video is shot in a native 16:9 native aspect ratio. By using a cabinet built in a 16:9 aspect ratio enables the content to be shown exactly as it was shot without the need to crop or manipulate the images. 16:9 native aspect ratio cabinets are very important in House of Worship services where live video is being shown on the LED displays.
The TAA Axion Series provides a warranty of 10 years and 10% spare parts. All other Vanguard Series offer a 5 year or 2 year warranty and 5% spare parts. All the Axion Series feature swappable modules and backup systems that allow for easy maintenance.
